Good Game Get! Run Jesus Run
I don’t really know if Paolo Pedercini is a Christian or not, but his sense of humor and game design is holy. Run Jesus Run is a short Flash game that chronicles the life of our Lord and Savior in just ten seconds, which is a lot faster than reading all of that red text in the King James Bible.
Basically you move left and right with the arrow keys and as Paolo says it; “do Jesus...

You Meet The Nicest People Making Video Games
One of my favorite video game designers, and internet friend, Gregory Weir is being featured in a new documentary about indie game developers.
A man named Spinach has started a KickStarter page for the project and has already managed to raise more than $6,000! He wants $22,000 which may seem like a lot, but I think he justifies the funding allocations fairly well.
I’d really like to...

The magical video game world of Scott Pilgrim
Holy shit! I knew a Scott Pilgrim game was in the works, but I didn’t know it looked this awesome.
Nor did I know that Anamanaguchi is writing the soundtrack! Kind of makes me sad that they aren’t doing the movie soundtrack too, which kind of blows from what I’ve heard.
I am floored.
Could this be the one? Could this be the graphic novel gone movie gone game that...

Brandon Boyer and Super Brothers write the new...
“Meanwhile, our modern day Hyrule videogames*, well, there’s a sadness here isn’t there? The sadness is that the man** who pioneered all this rock has allowed committees and middle managers and random stakeholders to choke these videogames with needless, often incoherent, and always disruptive talk.
Sometimes there are spaces where the old magic exists, when you are seeing...

The magical video game influenced world of Scott...
Brian Lee O’ Malley’s six part epic graphic novel Scott Pilgrim has only snowballed since the first volume’s original publication in 2004. It has snowballed so much so that it is being made into a rather incredible looking movie staring Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim and Edgar Wright of Hot Fuzz, Shawn of the Dead fame is directing.
O’ Malley doesn’t seem to play...

Super Mario Bros. Shower Power
This is an incredibly cute and absurd piece of Super Mario Bros. merchandise, but I do totally wish that I had it as a kid.
Check out that Shower Power typeface! So cool.

Hello,
Thank you for reading GGG! It’s an absolute joy to write about video games, and running this blog is been a lot of fun for me.
If you find yourself really digging Good Game Get! then all I ask of you is to recommend GGG! in the Tumblr Gaming Directory. It would mean a lot to me if this blog could be featured on the front page of the directory, and with your recommendations it can.

Good Game Get! Aftermath
Aftermath is a serious(ly fun) and dark dual-stick zombie survival horror game for the iPhone that feels like a top-down single-player Left 4 Dead. The game’s premise is to reach way points while attempting to avoid and simultaneously destroy any zombie that crosses your path.
The game controls with one left virtual analog stick and one right horizontal-sliding analog stick. The two...

Greg Weir's Excellent Business Card
Gregory Weir, creator of excellent games such as Majesty of Colors and How To Raise Dragon (way before that damn CG kids flick of a similar name)* has a great business card inspired by his Majesty of Colors game.
How cool is that? Very.
BONUS # 1
I did an interview with Weir about a year ago.
POTENTIAL BONUS # 2 Weir obviously likes roguelikes like Shiren, which has me thinking thinking...

Joy.
Pure joy.
Oh how I wish this was an actual music application. Please Renaud Hallée, you need to develop this into something the world can use.
I need it.

LBP Brand Integration Gone Too Far
What the fuck is this Sega? Media Molecule what were you thinking? Not only are these Sonic the Hedgehog & Friends Sackboys hideous, they’re absolutely creepy.
They look as if someone skinned the Sonic characters, stitched the skin into a suit with a zipper and then donned it after removing the eyes and replacing them with their own cold, dark, and gaping ones.

Good Game Get! Lilt Line
Lilt Line for the iPhone is dubstep, the video game. The heavily rhythm and tilt-based gameplay is built on an intensely awesome dubstep soundtrack crafted by 16bit.
Lilt Line at its core is graphically simple and very reminiscent of of the guide this object through the scrolling horizontal cave while not hitting anything games, but remove that shallow comparison and you have a very unique...
Hilarious Retro Mega Man 10 Advertisement →
Capcom really has been pushing all the right buttons with me lately, with the release of the awesome Resident Evil 5 content and most recently the seemingly impossible debut of Street Fighter IV for the iPhone. My girlfriend knocks SFIV, but then again her only iPhone love is Canabalt.
EDIT My girlfriend just commented on this story and she says that she also likes Super Monkey Ball 2 on the...

holy shit i'm excited for S:S&S EP
Super Brothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is the title’s full name, but everyone seems to be calling it S:S&S EP for short.
The game is an iPhone OS exclusive, and it’s being made by awesome artists, Super Brothers, awesome musician, Jim Guthrie, and awesome video game designers, Capybara of Critter Crunch and Might & Magic fame.
The game is a mix of exploration and a...

They aren’t.
You could imagine how cool a game that looked like this would be though, right? Awesome artist, Philippe Nicolas created these pieces that I think are totally fit for a top-down video game, and while something like GTA comes to mind; I really think something incredibly creative could be done within the context of Philippe’s art style.
If any iPhone developers read...

Good Game Get! Spirit
Spirit may be the best deal in the app store right now. Seriously. It’s only 99¢!
Now lots of apps in the in the app store for the iPhone and iPod touch are 99¢; this I know, but Spirit is polished contemporary retro arcade goodness.
The premise is simple, it’s a top down score chaser with typical alien enemies with fairly recognizable behavior, hence the classic feel. The...

Good Game Get! Eliss
Eliss is a multi-touch iPhone/iPod touch game that destroys any notions that the iPhone and iPod touch aren’t relevant video game systems.
The game is much easier played than it is described, but simply it’s a game about controlling different colored planets with your fingers, keeping them from colliding with one another, and turning them into supernovas.
On top of that you...

Packy & Marlon - An SNES Diabetes Adventure...
As you may or may not know, I was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and that really blows, but I’ll manage, so I’m not too worried.
Thanks for the kind comments, and of course, thank you Matt for the great email!
Anyway, I’ve been doing a lot of Googling on the subject and I found a ridiculous SNES game for Type 1 Diabetics called Packy & Marlon.
According to...
