my new iMac (or old iMac technically, or awesome old iMac) and i talk about other things

My beautiful girlfriend invested in an old skool iMac for me for Christmas and even drew an awesome desktop background of our newest dog, Lion-O.

Totally awesome, and I recently ordered ram an an Airport card for it for like $36! Yes!

As far as gaming goes, it goes slow. I was going to finish Zelda but I became extremely frustrated with the last part of the Tower of Spirits which is totally lame of me because I plowed through the game before that. I don’t know if I’ll finish, but I really did enjoy the game up until that point.

I also heavily played the sleeper Might and Magic for the DS and while I’m impressed, I really think all of the underground hype is kind of ridiculous as I feel a great deal of gameplay is lost on luck and that’s just not cool.

Today I played Derek Yu’s Spelunky as I saw on Reddit that it had been released and it’s really cool, if a bit challenging, but totally addictive. It’s Windoze only since he made it in Gamemaker but with Parallels on my MacBook and a USB controller, it’s been a blast.

So I haven’t been gaming much, but I have been reading a lot, and a just recently finished Josh Bazell’s Beat The Reaper which is one of the most enjoyable reads I’ve had in a long time.

Even the cover art is spectacular, it definitely fits the book.

I want to expand GoodGameGet! a little in 2010 and I want to get my awesome girlfriend to design some t-shirts and other swag. Hopefully she’ll agree to it as I haven’t even asked her yet! ;) Hope Chicago is nice baby!
