Famicase ‘10 My Favorites

Every year Meteor curates an art project in Japan for artists to create imaginary cartridges for Nintendo Family Computer (NES) games.

The results are pure fake nostalgia with a longing for some of the games to be real.

A game about rasing Alpaca.

My favorite. Star Cats IV. I mean come on. It doesn’t get better than that.

The logo for this game is absolutely cute to the max.

Again, another great logo.

The most endearing game to me. Could you imagine an 8 BIT game about controlling a mascot? Mascot battles, theme park goer happiness levels, costume heat levels when the weather is scorching, and kids punching you in your balls whilst stealing your balloons.

My girlfriend points out that Mr.Mascot is actually just a bunny mask on a Mario body.

Could it be? Mario isn’t making enough scratch from hitting blocks to afford Peach’s lifestyle of luxury and now has to work his summers at theme parks?
