Three First Party 3DS Games that are Guranteed to Rock [e3 2010]
e3ssentials is GGG’s way of hand-picking some coolness at e3 this year, so you don’t have to wade through the boring stuff.
Animal Crossing
Admittedly I didn’t play Animal Crossing for the Wii, and I understand the game goes through very minimal changes in it’s updates, but with the 3DS and it’s new openness to online connectivity and sleeping ad-hoc easy connectivity between other 3DS systems - well you can only imagine the coolness Animal Crossing will bring.
Mario Kart
Mario Kart DS is my second favorite Mario Kart game next to Mario Kart Wii which I thought was incredible. The Wii version of Mario Kart followed up the last DS version, so I think it’s safe to assume that Mario Kart 3DS will be absolutely the most perfect iteration of Mario Kart to date when it drops.
Paper Mario
While the Mario & Luigi series is a fantastic portable RPG, and I hope more sequels come to the DS, the Paper Mario series started up the RPG engine again after Square and Nintendo broke up. The game is absolutely fantastic and hasn’t had a new true RPG flavor since the Thousand Year Door on the GameCube.
To think that you’ll be able to carry a new Paper Mario game in your pocket is pretty cool!
I also won’t neglect the fact that the 3D effects on the 3DS probably will do wonders and seems to fit perfectly with the pop-up book style of Paper Mario
