Resident Evil 5
My girlfriend reserved Resident Evil 5 for me as my Valentine’s Day gift, and I must say that it’s been quite the V-Day gift since we started playing it last night.
While it’s incredibly similar to Resident Evil 4, one thing is for sure, the co-op is spot on and is one of the best if not the best co-op game I’ve ever played. Capcom truly without a doubt, hit the mark with the co-op play. No other game allows to you blast away African zombies (racial problems aside) with a best friend.

The real-time cinematics are also incredible to behold, at least on the PS3 they are gorgeously rendered and are loaded in the background to keep up the pace of the game. Of course, I believe the obligatory HD install helps the latter observation and helps with load times tremendously, so much so that you don’t have time to read the Resident Evil History snippets the game presents as it’s loading the next area.
We haven’t finished the game yet, and after looking forward to a game for years - it’s just balls retrospectively to burn through it so quickly. However, it really is a joy and a blast to play.
Co-op for the win.
