yoshi was a tease back in ‘96

When you collect all 120 stars in Super Mario 64, you can jump in the cannon and shoot Mario to the top of the castle. There you’ll meet Yoshi and he’ll congratulate you, give you a bunch of lives, and a new third jump.

After which, he jumps into the waterfall and vanishes forever.

This is of course absolute bull shit, because Nintendo should have let the player ride Yoshi or had found someway to implement him into the game.

My nine year old self was extremely saddened by this dick move.
