Good Game Get! The Incident

I like PSN game Trash Panic, and so does my rad girlfriend.
She has good taste.
The magic of Trash Panic is that it’s a puzzle game formatted game that is terrible at being a puzzle game, but it’s really fantastic at being a smashing shit together and trying not to stack it game.
More on that soon.
I’ve seen iOS game The Incident compared to Katamari Damacy and I don’t get it.
Katamari Damacy and The Incident both have ridiculous items and they each have names and weights, and shapes, but that’s still pretty loose.
The Incident is not like Katamari Damacy.
It’s like Super Trash Panic Bros. with one guy, five-o-clock shadow, a rad tie, and no brother.
Actually, you don’t even control the trash, and it’s not even trash - sometimes it’s crap like perfectly good working Mac G5 towers falling on your head as you try to scale the heap by tilting and tapping using the classic platforming skills you’ve been mastering your whole gaming life.
Yeah, so you scale a mass of falling objects, while avoiding said falling objects and these evil balloons, while collecting powerups, coins, and health balloons.
Aliens are dropping the objects back down to Earth by the way.
Assholes man. Maybe that is some fucked up way of showing us how consumerism can crush us except literally instead of the downward allegorical violent force that brings us disconnected sadness instead of physical pain.
Deep.

The game even pats your back for dying different ways by awarding you trophies, and I’m assuming this is the aliens making you feel guilty for your worldly possessions.
Big Bucket Software’s attention to detail is absolutely meticulous. My girlfriend’s little sister was amazed by the stop light sprite and it’s rotation animation of go, caution, and stop.
That may not sound impressive, but in a development world of rushed crap, the kind of love that has been put into The Incident seems almost equivalent to how much I love Honey Nut Cheerios with a banana for breakfast.
The Incident is essential gaming if you have an iOS device.
I really dig Honey Nut Cheerios.
