Color Changing Tingle’s Balloon Trip of Love is Awesome.

I played Irozuki Tingle no Koi no Balloon Trip today, and while I can’t understand the text-heavy Japanese game, I will tell you why it’s the bee’s knees.

- The game’s title screen features Tingle in a Wizard of Oz world, skipping along a yellow brick road with the Scarecrow, Lion, and Tin Man.

- Tingle has a really über-cute dog, that he sadly appears to leave behind when he gets transported by a tornado onto a farm that appears to be very similar to the Kansas farm in Wizard of Oz.

- Tingle yet again, gets suckered into buying a get something quick scheme. Instead of Rupees, this time it’s love. A hilarious TV commercial featuring a full-size masculine man dressed like Tingle convinces him to order self-help books to win girls over.

- The game has fantastic 2D drawn sprites and backgrounds, and it plays like a classic point and click adventure game.

Hopefully the game gets at least ported to European shores (please don’t change the boxart), like Tingle’s last DS game so that I may get a chance to play it in English.
