freaks & geeks

We started watching Freaks & Geeks last night and the show is just incredibly awesome. It’s terrible that the show was so short-lived. Sadly it’s just another example of a piece of art ahead of it’s time.

The authenticity of the show is incredible as well. It’s really hard to believe that a show that looks like it was shot in the 80’s was shot in 1999. It’s kind of like That 70’s Show, except much more timeless and without Ashton Kutcher.

You’re better off to torrent it instead of buying it on DVD. I can’t imagine the creators are going to get much from DVD sales of the show, especially since NBC execs ultimately pulled the plug on the show to most likely make way for the trashy reality shows that were soon to come.
