5. Plants vs Zombies

If you’ve ever wanted to battle plants against zombies, then you need not look further than Plants vs Zombies. PopCap’s incredible strategy based game is absolutely incredible. Plus it has one of the catchiest video game pop songs in recent memory. If you have twenty dollars to spend on one of the best PC games of the year, this is it.



4. Noby Noby Boy

Katamari Damacy is one of my favorite video games, so it comes as no surprise that it’s creator’s next game would be one of my favorites. The game has no goals, except for wacky stretchy eating and pooping fun. It randomly generates levels and you collectively game with other players to try and grow Boy’s girlfriend to access new planets. Who cares about that when all I wanna do is stretch and wiggle around while eating people riding dogs.



3. Flower

The six-axis is stupid, but Flower which exclusively uses the six-axis is not. Totally the most awesome exclusive PS3 game of the year, Flower really pushes the bar for unique and original games the require the most minimal of activity from the player. Steering a flower petal inside of different flower dreams is pretty cool and it’s fun.



2. Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story

I don’t really like the new Mario games these days, but give me some good Mario RPG action and the plumber and I are friends again. Mario & Lugi: Bowser’s Inside Story is a hilarious, yet slightly touching romp through Bowser’s body and a uniquely re-realized Mushroom Kingdom. Mario & Luigi is my portable game of the year. An absolutely blast to play and I enjoyed every minute of it.



1. Resident Evil 5

“Bitch zombies in the room! His axe is on fire! He killed your parents! Shoot ‘em in the head! Shoot ‘em in the HEAD! Bitch this ain’t a cut scene press A press A!”

MC Chris said that about Resident Evil 4 and it pretty much applies to Resident Evil 5. If you need that in your fucking face zombie murdering co-op action then RE5 is the game for you. My girlfriend and I had so much fun as Chris and Sheva and it feels really satisfying to continuously blow away hordes of infected with a shotgun, and while most love the L4D series, I have a PS3 and Valve were little bitches and didn’t release the game for the Playstation.

Resident Evil 5 is the Good Game Get! Game of the Year. Congrats Capcom for actually being able to release Resident Evil 5 for the 360 and PS3, unlike that Gabe asshole at Valve.
