mike capps is hilarious

Epic games president Mike Capps is on the record as saying that a viable solution to the used game problem is to lock out used game buyers with a $20 code that they’ll need to purchase in order to beat the game.

More specifically Capps is talking about Gamestop and their killer used games market and while I agree with the fact that many sales are lost because of Gamestop, why do these companies still continue to do Gamestop exclusives if Gamestop is the enemy? Well, according to Capps, the enemy is not Gamestop but the consumer and that’s why they wanted to charge the consumer to finish the used the game.

Do these companies not have a PR filter? What was Capps thinking saying something like this? I’m sure it’ll piss some people off, but mostly people will just go on playing Gears of War and pushing the remarks to the back of their mind.

Gamestop is a terrible company, and so is Epic according to Mike Capps.
