Good Game Get! Looming
Looming is a new exploration game from Gregory Weir.
It’s a haunting and mysterious sci-fi love story set in the dark, with a minimalist aesthetic, culturally divided history, and a wish that the player suspend themselves in imagination and patience to make it through all of the endings.

The graphics are by far my favorite part of the title, and the discovery and collection system is rewarding, and essential to creating the story surrounding the game.
Together Weir’s game philosophy and knack for good narrative shines in Looming, which I believe to be his best title yet.

You Meet The Nicest People Making Video Games
One of my favorite video game designers, and internet friend, Gregory Weir is being featured in a new documentary about indie game developers.

A man named Spinach has started a KickStarter page for the project and has already managed to raise more than $6,000! He wants $22,000 which may seem like a lot, but I think he justifies the funding allocations fairly well.
I’d really like to see this become a reality, as it’s already been awesome seeing what footage I’ve seen of Weir and Amon26. Especially when Amon26 discusses video game design as something that is therapeutic for him.
Greg Weir’s Excellent Business Card
Gregory Weir, creator of excellent games such as Majesty of Colors and How To Raise Dragon (way before that damn CG kids flick of a similar name)* has a great business card inspired by his Majesty of Colors game.
How cool is that? Very.
BONUS # 1
I did an interview with Weir about a year ago.
POTENTIAL BONUS # 2
Weir obviously likes roguelikes like Shiren, which has me thinking thinking that perhaps Greg should make a roguelike game himself? Eh, eh? I know you read this blog Greg so hop to it.
EDIT
Greg has informed me via the comments that he has indeed already created a roguelike-esque game about avoiding traps called Necropolis
I suck.
* My girlfriend is really stoked for the movie, so I have struck through the negative things about the movie which I really didn’t mean.
I suck more.
a painting of the majesty of colors monster

This painting by the First Million Sketches guy is absolutely awesome. My Girlfriend gave me the heads up to it as its directly inspired by Gregory Weir’s excellent game, I Fell In Love With The Majesty of Colors.
If you’ve played the game you’ll totally get it.
