Tectoy releases Sega Mega Drive 4 with 87 Built-in Games Including a Guitar music game called Guitar Idol

This isn’t one of those clone machines, this is the real deal! The TecToy Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) 4 is coming bundled with a real 2D Guitar game and is exclusively for the Brazilian market. Some of the included bands are Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Ramones. Of course that isn’t all you get because 86 Genesis games are bundled with the system too, such as Sonic, Altered Beast, and Golden Axe.

The above screen shot is from Guitar Idol. How incredibly awesome that this is being done. I really want to see some videos of this thing.

You even get two colorful and awesome Genesis pads! I seriously wouldn’t mind importing something this awesome to get all the goodness for most likely a very reasonable price.

Sega Hated Nintendo in the ’90s

It’s true, they really did. They came up with slogans that said ridiciulous things like, Sega does what Nintendon’t, and they made absolutely ridiculous commercials to show the consumer that their products were superior.



The most awesome part of this video besides insulting the intelligence of a dog to promote the Game Gear is when they say the Gameboy had a creamed spinach color screen.

Oh, Sega.

The Sega Obsession Continues: Lunar Silver Star Story Boxart

After the Sonic/Sega carpet, I’ve been on a roll looking for Sega images. Here is one of the best ones I’ve found today.

I especially like how the lower right hand corner of the characters portrait says RPG.

Perfect.

Sega Carpet = Ultimate Carpet

I want to walk on this and roll on this and play Dreamcast on this. This would be my game room carpet as a child, and possibly as an adult if I could ever find it.

This carpet could give me rug burn and I would not hate it.
